Based on 800+ RFEs we analyzed, three criteria are credited by USCIS officers far more often than the rest: judging, scientific publications, and media coverage. These are the ones where we match vendors for free. Awards we handle separately: USCIS rejects most of them as pay-to-play.

The most "passable" criterion. Credited more often than the rest. Closed via competition juries or peer review of scientific papers. Works for almost anyone. For tech, hackathons count separately.

Scientific publications
One of the most productive criteria and the most dangerous. We know how to tell a real scientific journal from a predatory one: Google Scholar indexing, editorial board composition, realistic publication timeline. We'll tell you whether Russian or international journals fit and match you to the right one.

The article must be about you and your expertise, ideally in major media. Trade outlets are acceptable but credited less. We find US major outlets that won't cost a kidney. We know how to prove major-media status properly: SimilarWeb screenshots alone aren't enough, officers literally write that web traffic is not circulation.

The hardest criterion: credited only in ~15% of cases. We know which awards USCIS already flags as pay-to-play (Globee, Stevie, TITAN and dozens more). Officers have ready-made denial formulas for them. We know which awards actually work: clear selection criteria, jury composition, media coverage of the award itself, named recipient and not a team without a roster. We don't publish the list of working awards, otherwise in six months they'd turn into 'questionable awards' too.
